About Adyakula School of Tantra

Adya (आद्या), derived from Sanskrit, refers to Ādyā Śakti, the Primordial Goddess from whom all creation arises.

Kula (कुल) in Sanskrit primarily means family, clan, race, or community. It denotes a group, tribe, or lineage, often implying a sense of belonging, inclusion, and, in many contexts, a noble or respected clan.

'Adyakula' therefore means the tribe/clan of the great Goddess Shakti.

Who are we?

Adyakula is an intimate sanctuary in the heart of Rishikesh, dedicated to those who wish to heal, learn and evolve. We offer an environment where each experience is deeply personal and thoughtfully guided to meet you exactly where you are.

We offer personalized healing sessions, immersive Kundalini Awakening workshops, transformative retreats, and traditional Tantra courses rooted in the ancient, esoteric tradition of the Divine Feminine - the Great Goddess Shakti.

Our work

People who come visit us, often have something they wish to forget. Be it boredom, pain, hardship or disappointment.

Our work is to offer relief from this pain - not to change who they are, but to create a space of such safety and presence where they no longer have to perform, achieve, explain, or hold everything together - A safe, sacred space that one can inhabit completely.

For those who wish to dive deep into our ancient lineage - Adyakula is a traditional school of Shakta Tantra rooted in the Kamakhya Kula lineage of the Kaula tradition. Through disciplined practice, guru–śiṣya transmission, and sincere spiritual inquiry, we preserve and share the esoteric wisdom of the ancient path of the Divine Feminine - the path of the Great Goddess Shakti.

Meet the People behind Adyakula:

Ananda - Founder

Ananda’s initiation into the path of the Tantra began at an early age, sparking a lifelong dedication to the mastery of mind, body, and spirit. Since childhood he has spent his life in disciplined, daily practice—cultivating a profound, practical understanding of meditation, various yogic systems, and esoteric paths.

Sanghamira - Co-Founder

Born and raised in the eastern part of India, in a land where the sacred tradition of Goddess worship quietly flows through everyday life, her journey has always been deeply intertwined with spirituality — even long before she consciously recognized it. The energy of devotion, surrender, and the tradition of the Goddess formed an unseen foundation beneath her life’s path early on.

Read about Our Lineage

Every authentic spiritual tradition is sustained by a lineage. At Adyakula, our teachings are rooted in the Kamakhya Kula stream of Shakta Tantra—a living tradition preserved through generations of practice, initiation, and direct transmission.

It is this lineage that guides our understanding of the Divine Mother, informs our teachings, and gives depth to everything we offer.

Our Journey:
From Aarak School of Sacred Healing Arts to Adyakula School of Tantra

As co-founders, our journey began with a shared vision to create spaces for deep transformation. In 2020, we founded Aarak School of Sacred Healing Arts, where we dedicated ourselves to supporting people from all walks of life through healing sessions, retreats, and educational programs. Over the years, we have welcomed participants from more than 20 countries, building an international community rooted in authentic practice, compassionate guidance, and meaningful transformation.

Building on this foundation, we launched Adyakula to expand our vision in Rishikesh through specialized journeys in Somatic Healing, Kundalini Awakening, and Authentic Shakta Tantra. While our focus has evolved, our commitment remains the same: to offer sincere seekers a path of healing, inner transformation, and spiritual awakening grounded in traditional wisdom, direct experience, and authentic practice.

"Love, is the highest of all sadhnas. Everything we teach, every sadhna, every technique is always about returning back to love. If you can love, even for a moment, with the whole of your being, as intensely and as completely as possible - you have already experienced the Divine. This love need not be for another being, this love need not be for any rhyme or reason, this love simply exists - just like you do - as a beautiful flower in the garden of the Cosmos. So, if you know love - you need not practice any sadhna - you are already there! But, if you have forgotten - if you want to love & be loved, but don't know how to love - come, let us sit together for a moment. Together, let us remember once again - who you truly are!"
